There were 10 Members in Attendance at this Year's Business Meeting.
Compatriot Terry A. Whetstone moved to have our GRCC Constitution updated and changed in name from Constitution to "REGULATIONS and BYLAWS" and the Election of Officers to be changed (Required once a year or as part of the Annual Business Meeting of each OH chapter, per OHSSAR Regulations) to be held at our "November Veterans' Observance Meeting" with installation of officers the same evening.
The Motion was Seconded and unanimously approved.
There were no NEW Officers elected, as the 2001 Chapter President, Vice President and Secretary agreed to continue serving in the their present capacities, pending the proposed changes to the chapter's "REGULATIONS and BYLAWS"
There is currently a vacancy for the offices of "Treasurer" and "Chaplain".

"Eagle Scout Awards" |
|
Chapter President Paul D. Schenck assumed the duties of Eagle Scout Committee Chairman. Former Eagle Scout Awards Chairman, Past President Joe Taylor reported that due to extremely restrictive qualification requirements issued by the National Society, SAR our Chapter had no eligible candidates for this year's competition. |

"Flag Awards" |
|
Martin Whetstone has 3 candidates for this prestigious honor given to Patriotic Individuals or Businesses who fly the Flag 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for patriotic purposes.
The Flag must be lighted at night and Martin asked for everybody to stay on the look out for possible, eligible applicants and to inform him of anyone who may be interested in receiving this award. |

"Membership" |

Our Membership Committee Chairman, Terry A. Whetstone reported many new members added to the ranks. Currently, we have 76 members with 8 applications in the process of being approved. |

"Knight Essay Contest" |
|
William L. Smith, GRCC Knight Essay Contest Chairman, was not available to give a report. However, Terry A. Whetstone assured us that our chapter does have a winning contestant and that we will be having an Award Presentation at our 79th Anniversary Dinner on April 17, 2002. |

"R.O.T.C. Awards" |
|
R.O.T.C. Awards chairman, Terry A. Whetstone reported that there will be an award presentation at Tecumseh High School on 04/09/02 and another at South High School on a date, yet to be announced. Tecumseh High has an Air Force Unit, and South has a Marine Unit. |
